Who has a nature lover? Maybe a child who loves to be outside? Yes, you can learn outside too! My toddler and I just went on a nature walk and made art out of nature! You can too!
This nature collage is recommended for 1.5 years +. If your toddler can walk they can totally do this! The nature collage helps work on 2 senses specifically (touch and smell). We choose to do flowers but you can do small sticks, flowers, rocks, or whatever is light enough to fit onto the sticky paper provided.
Included: Sticky contact paper, and a pre-cut-out cardboard piece for the border.
Extension/Works On: This is the fun part. You can make this as long or short of a nature walk as you want it to be. You can just collect flowers, or you can do leaves if you have the fall season, rocks, or all of the above. The options are endless. The learning comes into play when you ask open-ended questions such as where do you think this flower came from? What bugs eat flowers? Why are the leaves changing? Talk about texture as some leaves are crunchy and some flowers are different colors. Invite the child to feel, touch, and pick up as many things as possible to make this his, or her, special artwork.
